Howdy;
 How goes the ebb and flow  in your world??? over here it is happening slowly.
Recently I had a wonderful unexpected creative experience, a friend contacted me asking if I wanted to go to a drop in clay class, for a brief moment I wanted to say no as its been more comfortable to stay put then move forward in so many ways. A small voice said just do it and so I did.

If ya’ll remember I was pushing,shoving and nudging myself to complete a body of work for a solo show called “Altar Ego”July 2015 in Mission BC. That body of work almost did me in of body,mind and spirit. I was done the creative well was dry and to support that, after the show was hung I turned my temporary studio space  in my condo back into my living room but it went even further with packing all my tools and materials readying for a future move plus recharging my creative batteries.

Its now April 2016 with the many boxes of creative supplies/tools still packed.The thing is creativity comes and goes and one needs to honor those off times.However the creative juices have begun to trickle in as of late this shows up in the audio and print books that I choose. Another clue my curiosity tingles which is a blessed omen that the creative well is beginning to fill.

Revisiting pottery has been a boost but also a balancer as I prepare for a move. Regular interactions with creativity is important to my well being.I remember a mentor saying to  me  years ago when walking those first  tentative steps of creativity,that  even 15 minutes has its importance in artistic development. The biggest hurdle is acceptance that there are times one ebbs and other times flow.

I’ve had to find other ways to get my creative mojo on despite my tools being packed up. Oh the challenge!! However saying all of the above,today I can say its just all about growing in different ways. Gotta tell ya so looking forward to unpacking those many studio boxes and becoming reacquainted again with my tools and supplies…All I can say is BRING IT ON!!!!
