Greetings Dear Readers;
Come in and sit ,lets have tea. I love tea its a favourite beverage, started drinking tea in childhood as i was surrounded then by many teetotallers. One cuppa a day is my indulgence but occasionally a second cuppa for good measure. I lean heavy towards black teas but spontaneously an herbal blend or two will call to me.

When I resided in British Columbia, Canada I researched and studied tea and created my own  loose tea blends .black, herbal and so forth. I hope to resurrect my tea menu in the near future and share with those that cross my threshold.

As an Artist/Maker ideas are always steeping as to what to create. Its never a coincidence of what presents itself to me. On this particular day I had the pleasure of being out and about going to my favourite thrift store, upon walking in lo and behold there it was waiting on me, A beautiful Silver Tea Set with tea pot, creamer ,sugar and tray.

Silver Tea Sets were something I have had in my art brain bank for many years Silver tea sets to be re imagined, however still remaining functional after i get my hands and ideas all over it. Obviously it was time to unfold this creative dream as the tea set is part of a big picture which someday i hope to share with you.

As i opened to the Tea Set to lead me as to how it wanted to unfold, it became clear to me that this was no ordinary tea set. It represented to me who I would invite to my table for tea. Frida has made a guest appearance at my tea party. With such grace she sits at the table embracing some of the others who were called to the table. Its a diverse group at my table that I have respected since i was introduced. Audre Lourde, Nina Simone ,Mahalia Jackson, Angela Davis, Sister Rosetta Tharpe , Bell Hooks and My Mom are some of the guests today at Casa Sanctuary Art House Tea Party.
