Well Hey There;

How Art Thou? I Rhonda here on the east coast of Canada am alive and kicking…Cooler temperatures have descended into colder days and evenings, Honestly these days I have been tucked indoors wearing my attire of sweaters, slippers and pj’s with my art apron covering me..

In the background is the hum of the mini split as it blows about warm heat heating up my small sanctuary and the oven is preheating readying to welcome a risen up loaf of bread and a molasses cake, meanwhile the counter has various veggies awaiting their chopping orders to be thrown into the crock pot.. Its been four months since moving into this new space in a urban downtown location. I adore my new space and have a lot of gratitude for this gift.

My work space is compact and tiny but I am making it work to the best of my ability. As many of you know I showed three pieces of a new series of work that is in creation (The Goddess Patron Saint Series) My ideas come to me in several ways but the biggest directives comes from listening to my inner self when in meditation, silence ,journaling and dreams. What comes to me is not always what I want to hear or know but as time and experiences is this life journey shows it is what it is like it or not.

Resistance still plays an active role in my life. Although the shield drops a lot quicker these days as it takes way more energy than i have to fight the unnecessary of me once again getting into my own way.

When the unexpected shows up in the making of my artwork ,I hear very clearly and loudly “Can You Hear Me Now”. This is what has happened with this new work in progress and it has grown into branching out into three phases of the work. Which was heard by me through feedback and insight by others.

So here I am in some very powerful creative work that the story will unfold in three aspects. Presently I am in Phase One and will be for quite awhile as up 35 Goddess Patron Saints come into their own. I am taking some  quiet rest time for the next couple of months from this project as its been a full on creative making  year for me with deadlines that unfolded for a museum exhibit( No 2 Construction Battalion, Launching Uprooted Teaze, Garden Season and Moving) and now the Solstice season is moving in.

Uprooted Teaze is moving along as it prepares to have teas showcased in a new location December 1st,2025.  Thanx to Blind Forest Books in Sackville, New Brunswick for the welcome. This location was yet another listening directive.  Active Listening is a skill and its probably not surprising to any of us what we do not hear or do not want to hear. So Listen Up readers, “Can You Hear Me Now”
