Solstice Blessings to All;

Summer is upon us with a full on heatwave what a big welcome as the wheel turns into a new season.

On this full moon (strawberry moon) and summer solstice I’d like to share my latest art piece.

Goddess In A Box  unfolded from a dream and a drawer, this art piece took several months to come to a conclusion. The drawer was given to me by a friend six months ago ,that sat among other assemblage bits and pieces waiting its turn to be called forth. My creative process begins with idea(s) which come to me in a dream, this particular time the dream gave me the information of using the drawer and the title of the piece. So onward as from there its intuitive as the whispers that started in a night dream show themselves throughout the day as i am led on the latest creative journey.

The Barbie movie began this piece as i loved much about the movie especially when life size barbie boxes were popping up and women taking pics within the box in their pink barbie finery. Seed planted. which led me to via dream why not a goddess in a box with accessories, slowly but surely the aspects were coming through and I felt the energy flowing through myself and the art piece.

My interpretation of a box from a drawer, A full moon, the accessories, the  goddess doll, etc came from my art materials as what I have on hand is used in creative projects. The Song Ancient Mother familiar to me in women’s circle we would sing in solidarity calling forth the many goddesses.
