A Beautiful Summer hello;
The Wheel has turned gracing us with heat and blue skies.Its been two months now that i’ve been on Gabriola Island time passes but with such memorable moments. The one thing i wished for this year was a garden and so it is. Its a moveable garden all contained. Arriving at the end of May on the island,it took no time at all to get my garden on.
Many of the plant residents began life from seed and incubated for a time in a greenhouse.

Those seeds are now growing up blessed with my joy,sun rays,sky and watered 2x daily…

My moveable garden consists of the following:(started 
from seed or starter plant)
– tomato…starter plant Aurora Spinach…….seed
-beets……seed Basil……………….seed
-pepper……starter cilantro……….seed
-pineapple sage…..starter 2 types of cucumbers….. seed&starter and gifted
-lettuce……seed Rue…….plant(gifted)
-moito mint…..starter eggplant…starter
-quinoa………seed chives…….seed
-anise………..seed tomatillos….starters (gifted)
-fenugreek….seed sage…..seed

A late start from seed means alot of this will be enjoyed in later summer/early fall months…There has been so much learning ..this garden has unfolded with ease as it was meant to be….Gardens like myself are work in progress.I feel grounded everytime i step into the enclosure to check on the growth while continuing to meet the needs of these veggie/herb plants. I am committed to this process of growing….Also like me my garden is a freespirit and nomadic (hence the containers).

I like to say that I am growing my groceries which gives me alot of pride plus savings in my pocket book. I am a baby gardener who wants to know and do more growing. These very basic garden processes are applied to my life.

In my own growing these are the blessings i have received from the garden thus far. Patience,things take time,weeding out things that don’t belong or no longer serve you,self care and nuturing daily (in terms of the garden sun,water),outgrown,choices,whats the rush,cycle of life,end result.

Inside my sweet tiny house I grow houseplants…so its covered inside and out…..I am the caretaker of this sweet moveable container garden and I am grateful for the ongoing learning of growing food and growing myself.
