Greetings Readers;

Happy Falling. Where has summer gone as we are now in sweater weather. The last time words were written here in this space I was beginning to prepare my garden plot in May.

After not having a garden for a number of years,this unexpected gift was a game changer for me this summer. As part and plot of a community garden in my local area. I can not say enough about the experience this summer.

One of the things that I had wanted to grow was sunflowers and grow they did in fact the tallest sunflowers that my eyes have taken in. My plant community garden growers enhanced my experience with their knowledge and hands on expertise,so grateful for not only gleaning my grown harvest but the community harmony in our common goal of growing our food. Much time was spent in that little plot that in the end was planted with so many possibilities. This now past summer was a time of growth and many blessings in garden plot #58

This summer also came with a big loss in my life. My dear fur baby Peso at 12 years of age crossed the rainbow bridge the end of July. I was not prepared to lose him although I had seen the deterioration over a period of time within him. Life is different these days without my side kick, having the garden was a beautiful balm. The creative journey continues here at the Casa with many ideas making themselves known to me. It truly has been a beautiful summer here on the east coast of Canada. I hope your summer days of 2024 were full of making and growing memories.
