Well here goes some rational thought regarding my “Black Outsider Project” I have 14 days to complete three panels front, back and bases. I have been itching to sink my teeth into a bigger creation project for the past two years since I have been here in New Brunswick….Yes small arting was taking place but for me nothing of significance that kept me awake at night.

Black Art has had my attention for many years but I kept telling myself the story that I had to draw or paint my interest. Great form of distraction but I digress here.
So here I be doing a limited time residency and all that is unfolding…..When the idea of the residency was presented to me. I turned down the initial invitation to apply because working on site could not be a reality for me with recent health challenged by covid protocols in public spaces.

When something is meant to be…….

I knew immediately the content of my work to be created, that had been with me for a long time….So I chose to go big and say YES!!!

Here’s the thing I am not only creating a body of work that normally would take months instead of a 14 day timeline.
Also documenting the project daily through writing and video due to working remotely
I am learning new skill with video documentation…Yikes
